What's Halloween without a party?

What kind of school would Hogwarts be if it didn't have a masquerade party around Halloween!?

The Details
Hogwarts is holding a masquerade party in the Great Hall on Halloween night. The hall will be decorated with pumpkins, suits of armor, bubbling cauldrons filled with refreshments, and a myriad of other Gothic-style Halloween decorations. (There have also been rumors about a dragon and a troll... but neither of those have been verified)

The grandness of this event is comparable to the Yule Ball so, although people aren't required to invite a partner due to the serious lack of females, it is encouraged. It is a formal event, so fancy suits and dresses are a must. Also, it's a masquerade ball, so everyone is required to have some sort of mask. There are no regulations for said masks (as long as they're in good taste, of course), so it can be anything from a full-face mask, half-face mask, feathered mask, zanni mask, or even a plague doctor mask.

How to join in the fun
It's quite simple, really; you don't even need to post in this thread! In a day or two, the thread will be put up in the great hall, and any student or teacher can join in freely. However, if you want to get yourself a dance partner, you should post here and try to pair yourselves up =D

If anyone outside of Hogwarts wants to join in, you should also post here with who invited you so you aren't kicked out of the school. ^^;
