Application Process
Spin the Stars uses a standard application process with a small twist. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. We will answer as quickly as possible.
Starting Out
To begin, please ensure you have read the rules. When you have, please go HERE and quote the first post to get your template. When you have completed your application, it should be posted HERE. After you post your profile, quote the second post in the same thread the profile template is in and copy-paste that in a second post in your profile.
Things to Check
If you are interested in a certain claim, please ensure there are open for your selection. If you are going for a hybrid or special ability that is very important to your concept, please be sure to audition first HERE. If you have not been accepted for your claim, your profile will not be processed until it has been. Please also ensure that your face claim is not in use by checking HERE. Family name claims and Quidditch claims can both be processed after acceptance.
Post Acceptance (Staff)
Assuming you've been accepted, several things will happen. A staff member will lock your profile, and your face claim will be added to the appropriate list. Any special claims will also be added to the appropriate list. You will be moved to the correct group, based on your house, and be given a title indicating your year (or profession).
Post Acceptance (Player)
After acceptance, there are several things you (as a player) have to do. The first and most important is to repost your application and inventory into the correct profile forum HERE. This profile is your active one, and should be the first reference for anyone interested in your character. Feel free to expand the profile with interesting info, pictures, whatever, or include a plot page in a second post if you would like. When you have made that post, please put the link in your site profile under the 'homepage url' field, and put 'PROFILE' in the 'homepage name' field. When that is complete, you should apply for any extra claims (quidditch, canon name) that you didn't finish beforehand. From there, you are safe to start RPing - so have fun!
